I'm was never one to work out for the sake of working out. For most of my life, if I was physically active, it was because of my job or because of some sport or activity I was in. When I started a career doing software development, suddenly I was sitting almost all day and with kids I don't have much time for activities. And let's be honest, most of my hobbies involve being seated. But I don't want to be confined to a chair all day, and I didn't want to get winded going up and down the stairs, so I asked Jon to help me.
Jon helped me work on my health confidently, despite having an extra state between us. Jon built me a workout plan that was something I could accomplish with the materials available at my local gym or at my home. The plan had both stability and variety. I could see my numbers increasing on some of the exercises week after week, but then the rest of the workout was different each week, leading to a bit of curiosity and excitement every Monday when I went in for my first workout to see what I would be doing for the week.
